23 December 2004 DiagnoSYS introduce the new S500 functional test system

For complete product confidence the most effective route to underwriting product quality is to perform a functional test. The new S500 range of functional testers ensures product compliance to the tightest specifications. Designed to meet the end of line production test requirements the S500 will rapidly integrate into test cells in a manufacturing environment or a test department. Utilising PXI technology the S500 is a ready to go test system that can be deployed quickly and easily. PXI offers the highest specifications expected in a functional test system but with the convenience of commercial of the shelf (COTS) instrumentation.

The S500s open architecture facilitates the hassle free, uninterruptible upgrade path of the system. If the requirements for the system change then it is a simple process to adapt the S500 to meet these new requirements. Introducing only the cards that are needed prevents the system from being over specified and over priced! User friendly, clear and easy to program the S500 allows engineers to develop test programs in an open and uncomplicated programming environment. Creating tests and editing parameters are all implemented quickly in the intuitive software designed specifically for functional test applications. A customized graphic user interface can also be designed to simplify the operator interface. The S500 uses fixturing to provide connectivity to the unit under test (UUT). Offering a fixture design service DiagnoSYS also offers a test program service.
