CCR

The CCR family of conformal coating removal workstations, the CCR1000 and CCR2000, are fully self-contained, non-chemical bench top workstations designed for the removal of conformal coatings applied to printed circuit boards and other electronic assemblies or devices.

The CCR family of conformal coating removal workstations are fully self-contained, non-chemical bench top workstations designed for the removal of conformal coatings applied to printed circuit boards and other electronic assemblies or devices. CCR workstations will remove urethane, epoxy, parylene, silicone and acrylic from a single test node, an axial lead component, a through-hole IC, a surface mount component or an entire PCB.

CCR has endeavoured to provide the safest and most practical way to effectively remove conformal coatings. All the necessary safety features required for both the operator and the printed circuit board are designed into each workstation. The workstation has a large working area and is quick, efficient and safe. It has an ESD Safe Environment, and doesn't use chemicals. CCR will selectively strip a component or an entire board with no PCB contamination.

Because we don't use chemicals, you don't need to worry about:

  • Hazardous chemical storage
  • Hazardous chemical disposal
  • Environmental problems
  • Chemical clean-up
  • Any problem meeting or exceeding government and EPA directives for chemical free cleaning
  • Problems with printed circuit board etching

A continuous ground monitoring system is also included. It checks two things:

  • Confirms that the workstation is tied directly to your house ground
  • Confirms that the operator is connected to the workstation.

The CCR2000 operates in the same exact manner as the CCR1000 with the same characteristics with one additional feature - the ability to measure ESD voltage being applied to the printed circuit board as the conformal coating is being removed. ESD measurement is accomplished by attaching a clip directly to the board and, while stripping, read the ESD voltage directly on the front panel. If ESD is a major concern in your company or organization, it is highly recommended that you consider the CCR2000.

Technical Directors

The CCR provides a safe chemical-free removal of conformal coatings including urethanes, acrylics, silicones, dymax and parylene. It will also remove some expoxy coatings.

Reliable in operation, the system removes coating from a single point, a small area or a complete board. It is re-useable media – once the media has been used it can be filtered and re-cycled for cost effective operation.

The CCR is immediately available for coating removal allowing faster repair time for your circuit.

Finance Directors

The CCR is a low cost and safe solution for the removal of conformal coatings. With re-useable media for low cost efficient operation, the system is immediately available for coating removal allowing faster repair time for your circuits.

A chemical-free, safe operation, the CCR is reliable. Short training allows use by multiple users, and means that you can make use of your investment quickly.

Managing Directors

The CCR addresses any concerns about the repeated exposure of your employees to hazardous chemicals.

Both the CCR1000 and CCR2000 are fully, self-contained, bench top workstations designed for the removal of Conformal Coatings from printed circuit boards and other electronic devices. They are ESD safe and chemical free, having a sealed work chamber with gloved entry preventing media from escaping into the atmosphere. The work area is brightly illuminated with both white and UV lights. Many conformal coatings contain a UV tracer. If your conformal coating has this tracer, using the UV light will help in the removal process.
