A high–performance, high quality test system, combining
advanced hardware and software technologies together with
intelligent diagnostics to provide a test system that addresses
every aspect of electronic board test.
Extensively recognized as a leader in it’s field,
the S790 is widely used in today’s
commercial and military markets.
Features:
• High Performance
• Mixed Signal
• High Speed
• Rapid Test program development environment
• Advanced graphical instrumentation software Interface
• Very fast Diagnostics
• Unrivalled Accuracy
• High Reliability
• Compatible with 700 test systems
The S790VXI test system incorporates a
modular design, enabling the system configuration to be
tailored to users requirements.
The base configuration consists of a test head, which may
be set to one of four tilt angles, accommodating up to 448
Universal Pins or 1792 Universal 8:7:1 Flexpins. For optimum
flexibility, each individual pin may utilize any of the
test techniques and the Universal and FLEXPINS™ modules
may be freely intermixed to custom requirements.
All universal pins can be individually programmable for
voltage levels, current levels, rise times, and termination,
with software up-gradable pattern rates of up to 40 MHz.
Digital activity may be synchronized to external clocks
running at speeds up to 80 MHz.
Software Technology is key to a test system’s effectiveness.
Our powerful Computer Aided Test Engineering (CATETM ) software is at the heart of the S790VXI, providing
an icon based object-orientated interactive graphical environment.
CATE provides a highly efficient and effective set of test
program development and diagnostic tools.
Software tools are designed to support the use of clusters
to simplify verification. Cluster test programs can be combined
to produce a complete diagnostics test program that combines
all the advantages of the various test techniques that could
be used- functional, in-circuit, boundary scan, mixed signal,
bus emulation etc..
The S790VXI’s exceptional fast fault
isolation speed and accuracy is derived through ANALYST’s
expert diagnostic algorithms. ANALYST co-ordinates the diagnostic
activities, gathering data on failing units, directing probing
activities, collecting in-circuit failure information and
finally analyzing all the data to accurately pin-point the
fault.
Many powerful packages are employed within ANALYST.
The Statistical Fault Dictionary goes beyond a normal fault
dictionary by taking into account the possibilities caused
by unknown states. Context-Dependent Probing reduces probing
time by minimizing the number of probe operations needed
to locate a fault and LOCATOR assists by visually guiding
the operator to the correct probe location
Working throughout the system VALIDATOR software ensures test engineers only perform valid tasks,
avoiding programming errors and delays.
Furthermore, the test system automatically takes care of
all the software management tasks through the PROCESS MANAGER.
Upward compatibility has been designed into the S790VXI
where hardware configurations enable re-usability of existing
S720 / S730 / S750 / S770/ S790 test programs and test fixtures.
This ensures that existing customers can begin to use the
S790VXI without compromising their investments in test programs
and test fixtures. In addition, off-line CATE workstations
can be employed to generate S700 test programs.
